Where does our food come from?

Choose one activity from below:

1. Students today will be learning about "wheat from the farm to you."  Visit the link below and click on "Let's Go"  From Wheat to You  Read through those slides together with your child and discuss the process of what happens to wheat after it's grown. 

In your journal books, split your page into 4 and number the squares 1-4.  Starting with planting can you draw 3 more steps of how wheat goes from the farm to our tables? 

2. Next, check out Farm Food 360  This site allows for the discovery of many different farms in Canada.  Choose one to take a virtual tour of and draw picture of something that stood out for you.  Label your picture.
